How do you reserve our E-Choppers?

You can then pick up the E-Choppers at our reception at your reserved time. We are happy to explain to you how the E-Chopper works.

Times

You rent an E-Chopper in time slots. Online you can see exactly when the E-Choppers are available at our location: Landgoed Oud Beekdal has 6 E-Choppers and Park Berkenrhode has 8 E-Choppers. That means that we have 14 E-Choppers overall, and that you can also explore the Veluwe in a large group.

Monday to Friday: E-Choppers available between 9 a.m. - 4.30 p.m., including fun routes from our park.

Saturday: between 9 a.m. - 3.30 p.m., including fun routes from our park.

Sunday: between 10 a.m. - 3.30 p.m., including fun routes from our park.

*Please note! For a day ride the range of the battery remains 50 kilometers. The battery can not be charged in between.

Conditions

Rider must have a valid moped or car driver's license. The reception will ask for the driver's license of all riders upon pickup. All riders must bring them during the ride.
Children are allowed on the back of the E-Choppers. Allowed age: from 8 to 15 years old. Maximum total weight per E-Chopper 130 kilograms (at own risk of the parents). Please note: Range decreases with increasing weight of the E-Chopper.
From January 1, 2023, wearing a helmet is mandatory. The rider and children on the back must wear a helmet. Helmets are included per person when reserving an E-Chopper.
Maximum amount of kilometers to ride per E-Chopper: 50 - 55 kilometers.
Theft and claims settlement / Liability: You as renter are always responsible for damage or theft during your rental period. You are liable for €1500 per E-Chopper. You can lower this liability to €350 per E-Chopper for €3.50, you can check this (per E-Chopper) when placing the online reservation. This is not required.

Le Grand Café

Let us spoil you at our Le Grand Café at Park Berkenrhode. Good food and drinks in a pleasant ambiance. We use regional products in our cooking as much as possible! The terrace is heated and has a view of the outdoor swimming pool and the playgrounds.

Take a nice splash in our heated outdoor pool. Seasonal (subject to weather conditions). The outdoor pool is closed during the fall and winter months.

Ede

Ede is a medium-sized city with a pleasant center. Located at only nine kilometers from Park Berkenrhode. Ede is known for the battle for Arnhem. During the Second World War, the town played an important role because of the airborne landing of the Allied troops in September 1944 during Operation Market Garden. The area of Ede has many monuments in memory of this period. In the city, you will find a large indoor swimming pool (De Peppel), plenty of restaurants and a great theater.

Arnhem

Arnhem is a vibrant city with lots to offer for visitors of all ages. Located at only 20 minutes by car from Park Berkenrhode. Enjoy hours of shopping in the inner city and the Fashion Quarter, immerse yourself in the night life and enjoy stunning nature at one of the many city parks! Visit many creative events such as Fashion Festival Arnhem, or spend the day at the greatest attractions including Royal Burgers' Zoo or the Dutch Open-Air Museum.

Apeldoorn is seen as the beating heart of the Veluwe. The city is surprising and highly diverse. Greenery sets the tone in the streetscapes. Thanks to the pretty green spaces, city parks and expansive surrounding area, Apeldoorn has a unique character. The attractive city offers many attractions and sights worth seeing, such as Het Loo Palace with its magnificent palace gardens, amusement park Julianatoren and, of course, the Apenheul.
