Some places just feel right the moment you walk in. This detached, sustainably built lodge for up to six persons is one of them. Fully gas-free and thoughtfully designed, the Heide Lodge with Hottub & Sauna offers a warm and stylish base at Park Berkenrhode on the Veluwe. The living room centres around an electric fireplace that fills the space with a familiar glow, while the open-plan kitchen comes fully equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, combination microwave and fridge-freezer. Three bedrooms sleep six comfortably: one room with two beds pushed together, one with two single beds, and one with a bunk bed. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, and once the evening draws in, the terrace, your private Hottub and the sauna are waiting just outside.

The furnished terrace opens directly onto the private wellness area. Depending on the location you choose, the Hottub is either a wood-fired version that you light yourself, or an electric Hottub that is already warming up when you arrive. The sauna takes one to two hours to heat up and is yours to use throughout your stay. Air conditioning keeps the indoor climate comfortable in every season. Dogs are very welcome, up to two per booking. The lodge is built with sustainability in mind, using no gas at all, so you can relax knowing your stay sits lightly on the surroundings.

Park Berkenrhode: a quiet and personal place to stay in the forest

Park Berkenrhode is a small-scale holiday park at the edge of the Veluwe forest, where genuine hospitality and natural surroundings go hand in hand. With only a limited number of accommodations, the park always feels calm and personal. Walking and cycling routes start right at the edge of the park, making it easy to explore the forest at your own pace. After a day outdoors, Brasserie Luwe is the perfect place to come together over a long lunch, an evening meal or a drinks board. The park also offers bike rental, a heated outdoor swimming pool, outdoor playgrounds and a laundrette for added convenience.

Veluwe: nature that stays with you

The Veluwe is one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Netherlands, and from Park Berkenrhode you are right in the middle of it. Vast forests, open heathlands and sandy drifts create a landscape that keeps surprising you, with walking and cycling paths that lead deeper into the green with every turn. Birdsong in the morning, pine-scented air in the afternoon and a deep, settling quiet in the evening. Whether you are out exploring or simply sitting on your terrace, nature is always close. Every season brings its own mood, from the fresh greens of spring to the warm tones of autumn.

• The electric Hottub takes approximately 1.5 hours to heat up and will already be switched on when you arrive. Instructions are available in the Berkenrhode app.
• The Hottub does not have a bubble function.
• The Hottub cannot be used on the day of departure.

• Pets are welcome, maximum 2.
