Some places just feel right from the moment you walk in. The Heide Lodge with Hottub & Sauna is a fully detached, sustainably built lodge of 55 m² designed for up to five persons. Gas-free, thoughtfully furnished and spaciously laid out, it suits a family or a small group of friends equally well. The two comfortable bedrooms offer a combination of single beds and a bunk bed. The living room is bright and inviting, with an electric feature fireplace that sets the tone for relaxed evenings in. The open-plan kitchen comes fully equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, combination microwave, fridge-freezer and all the crockery and cutlery you need. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a water-saving showerhead and a toilet. Bedrooms and bathroom are electrically heated, while the air conditioning takes care of both cooling and heating throughout the rest of the lodge. Free WiFi and a Smart TV with streaming function are there for the evenings when you simply want to sink into the sofa.

Outside, your own private space is waiting. The lodge has a spacious terrace with garden furniture, a private parking space and a mostly enclosed garden, which is particularly handy if you are travelling with a dog. The Hottub and sauna sit at the heart of the terrace, your own private wellness retreat in the open air. After a day exploring the surrounding nature, there is nothing quite like easing into the warm water while the trees around you grow quiet. The lodge is fully pet-friendly, and the Dog Wash on the park keeps things tidy after a muddy forest walk.

Park Berkenrhode: small-scale, warm and close to nature

Park Berkenrhode is a small, carefully managed holiday park on the edge of the forest, where a genuine sense of calm sets the tone from the moment you arrive. This is not a busy, anonymous resort but a place where attention to detail and personal hospitality make a real difference. Brasserie Luwe is the park's own welcoming spot for a relaxed lunch, a borrelplank with drinks or a dinner after an active day outdoors. Bikes are available to rent directly on site, and for those who prefer a little more speed, e-choppers, electric scooters and mobility scooters are also available. The park further offers a heated outdoor swimming pool, outdoor playgrounds, a launderette, a cafeteria and a breakfast and rolls delivery service. Everything you need is close at hand.

Veluwe: where the outdoors feels like second nature

Step straight from the park into the heart of the Veluwe, the largest uninterrupted natural area in the Netherlands. Wide forest trails, open heathland and the scent of pine after rain. Every season brings a different character: the warm amber tones of autumn, the first green shoots of spring, the long light evenings of summer. Walk quietly enough and you might spot a deer between the trees. Cycle along the heathland or simply sit still and listen. The Veluwe has a way of making the mind feel lighter without you even noticing.
