Park Berkenrhode is a small, carefully curated holiday park at the edge of the Veluwe forests. The park has been kept deliberately intimate, so it never feels busy or impersonal. Walk or cycle straight into nature from the park entrance, and return to Brasserie Luwe for a relaxed lunch, evening drinks or dinner. This welcoming brasserie is the heart of the park, a place to sit down and take your time. The park also offers bicycle rental, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a laundry facility. A breakfast and bread roll delivery service means your morning routine stays simple. Outdoor playgrounds are available for families with children.
The Veluwe is one of the largest uninterrupted natural areas in the Netherlands, and its scale is what makes it so special. Endless forest trails, wide heathland plains and an abundance of wildlife ensure there is always somewhere new to explore on foot or by bike. Early mornings in the forest are wonderfully still, with birdsong as the only soundtrack. As the day unfolds, you can head out along cycling routes that start right from the park. Every season brings a different character to the landscape: summer heather in bloom, autumn colours across the treetops, crisp winter light filtering through the pines. It is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.
