The Park Lodge | 4 persons was designed exclusively for Park Berkenrhode, and the moment you step inside, you know why you came: to slow down. This detached lodge is comfortable, carefully furnished and quietly stylish. Two bedrooms with box spring beds, a well-appointed bathroom with walk-in shower and a kitchen that actually invites you to cook. The veranda connects directly to the living area, blurring the line between indoors and out. On the furnished terrace, sheltered by the awning, mornings start gently and evenings settle into something easy.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with quality built-in appliances, including a fridge-freezer, combination microwave, dishwasher and gas hob. Free WiFi, air conditioning and a private parking space are all taken care of. Pets are welcome: bring the dog along without a second thought. Location PL142 also has its own enclosed garden, perfect when your four-legged travel companion needs a little extra space to roam. The lodge is available at location PL028 and PL142, both bookable with a location preference fee.
Park Berkenrhode: intimate, welcoming and surrounded by nature
Park Berkenrhode is a small-scale holiday park at the forest's edge, where the calm around you feels genuine rather than staged. With only a handful of accommodations, the park has a character that feels personal and unhurried. Brasserie Luwe is the place for a leisurely lunch, an early evening drink or a relaxed dinner. Rent a bike, e-chopper or electric scooter directly from the park and head straight into the surrounding countryside. For younger guests there are outdoor playgrounds, and practical touches like a launderette, Dog Wash and breakfast and bread roll service mean you can focus on enjoying yourself.
Veluwe: forests, heathland and open skies
Beyond the treeline, the Veluwe begins, one of the most diverse and unspoiled natural areas in the Netherlands. Dense forests, open heathlands and sandy plains unfold in every direction. The paths here are quiet in a way that feels rare and restorative. Spring brings fresh colour, summer offers cool shade beneath the canopy, and autumn turns the woodland into something almost theatrical. Wildlife is never far away: deer, foxes and a rich variety of bird species are all at home here. Go out on a long ride, walk a morning trail or simply sit still for a while and listen.
