The Berken Lodge met Hottub | 4 personen is a detached, fully gas-free holiday home of 55 m² where thoughtful comfort meets genuine sustainability. Two bedrooms with comfortable box spring beds give everyone their own space: one room has the beds placed together, the other has them apart. The spacious living room with its electric feature fireplace is the kind of place you sink into after a day outdoors. And outside, a well-furnished terrace awaits with the hot tub as its quiet centrepiece.

The open-plan kitchen comes fully equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, combination microwave and fridge-freezer. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a water-saving showerhead, in keeping with the home's sustainable character. Air conditioning, free WiFi, fly screens and a Smart TV with streaming keep things comfortable throughout your stay. A private parking space sits right outside, and the garden gives you the privacy to truly decompress.

Park Berkenrhode: small-scale, welcoming and surrounded by nature

Park Berkenrhode is a small, carefully considered holiday park on the edge of the Veluwe forests, where tranquillity is not a bonus but a given. The park is deliberately intimate, so you never feel lost among crowds. Walking and cycling routes start directly from the park. Prefer something with a little electric assist? Hire an e-chopper or electric scooter on site. After a day in the fresh air, Brasserie Luwe is the place to settle in for lunch, a drink with a sharing board or a relaxed dinner. The park also offers a heated outdoor swimming pool, outdoor playgrounds, a launderette, and a breakfast and bread roll service for an easy start to the morning.

Veluwe: where the forest begins the moment you step outside

The Veluwe is one of the most beautiful natural areas in the Netherlands, and you are right in the middle of it. Vast forests, open heathlands and drifting sand plains shift with the seasons. Early mornings here come with birdsong before the rest of the world has woken up. In autumn the forest turns amber and red; in summer, sunlight falls through the canopy in long, shifting beams. Whether you head out on a long walk, go cycling through the trees or simply sit outside with a coffee, nature here is always within reach.

• You must be present when lighting the wood-fired hot tub
• The electric hot tub takes approximately 1.5 hours to heat up; it will already be switched on when you arrive
• Instructions for the hot tub can be found in the Berkenrhode app
• Neither the wood-fired nor the electric hot tub has a bubble function
• The hot tub cannot be used on the day of departure
• The outdoor fireplace is decorative only and is not available for use
